Happy Friday church family!

The camp motto at the camp I grew up in over in Cook, MN was “It’s great to be alive in God’s great Northwoods!” And I feel that this week. The weather has been beautiful and even the foggy days turned everything into crystal and lace that glittered and glowed when the sun came out. Truly God’s eternal power and divine nature are on display in this amazing world He has made.

We as a family are back into a bit of a routine after the holidays – two of our girls are back in the Cities, and Amy has left for Africa – thankfully an uneventful trip for her this time. And we as a church family have been busy! And I don’t see much slow down coming up. Please remember the Ukrainian Christmas Dinner tomorrow at 1:00 pm. If you aren’t attending (and even if you are!) please pray for this event and that the gospel would be clearly presented and heard by those in attendance. Also, we had our centennial celebration committee meeting last night, and the celebration is shaping up to be a wonderful weekend of fellowship and worship! If you haven’t already, mark June 27th and 28th in your calendars and share with your family and friends.

I said this in last week’s weekender, but it continues to be on my heart. As we’re entering this new year, let us pray that we draw closer to God, deepen our relationship with Him, and look more and more like Jesus by the end. Let this be a year of believers growing and lives transformed by God’s grace. Let us pray that we will have a great impact in Blackduck and surrounding areas and that we would take every opportunity God gives us to be His hands and feet. In the almighty Name of Jesus and through His grace and power - Amen!

-- In faith, Pastor Eric

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth. Psalm 19:1-6 NIV
