Good morning church family!

There is something about the sunrises in the awakening days when Spring is around the corner, there is a bit of warmth in the air, and the hope of renewed life is stirring. It reminds me of the hope we have in the Lord. No matter how dark the nights nor how cold and lifeless the days we may travel through, God is there with us and taking us out into His light and righteousness. Hosea 6:3b says “As surely as the sun rises, the Lord will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” God is faithful to see us through as we lean on Him.

This weekend we have a lot of travelers and a celebration or two. That includes Amy who arrives back in the States tomorrow and she and Ahna will drive up Monday. It’ll be good to have her back home! Be looking for a recap from her trip on a Sunday morning soon!

And this Sunday we are continuing in our Foundations series with a message on Evangelism given by our brother Joel. I know the Lord has given him a heart to reach the lost and I’m looking forward to hearing how we all need to participate in this! So if you’re one of those traveling, I urge you to watch the message when you get the chance!

-- In faith, Pastor Eric

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you and his glory will be seen upon you. Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes all around and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the hip. Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult. Isaiah 60:1-5a ESV
