Good morning church family!

Today is a snowy Silent Saturday – the day between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday - which the disciples spent in a sabbath of shock and fear. Last night we commemorated “Good Friday” with a Christian Passover service and soup supper. Thank you to all who joined us!

Good Friday seems like a strange title for the day that Jesus was crucified. But it is good as it is the singular day when the immortal and spotless Creator God-with-us Jesus paid off the debt of sin that we owed. For we all have sinned and fallen short of God’s Kingdom – fallen short of His perfection – and the wages of sin is death. The wages were dealt to the sinless Son so that His righteousness may be dealt to us. And we can stand before the Father as though we’d never sinned.

We who are His disciples, along with His righteousness, now have the right to be called children of God and have an inheritance – undefiled, imperishable, and unfading – waiting for us with God for all eternity. And tomorrow morning we celebrate the victory that Jesus won over sin and death for us! Join us for breakfast beginning at 8:30 and service at 10:00!

-- In faith, Pastor Eric

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 NIV
