Happy Thursday church family!
What a beautiful day! The colors are so amazing, I actually liked the detour heading to Bemidji. A lot of reds and oranges. And yet I was a little sad to see so many leaves already on the ground, the breeziness of the afternoon showering the earth with leaves. Their splash of glory already done and gone – so fast! And I think, what a wondrous God! - Who designed such beauty and splendor that fades so quickly and utterly – in a celebration of the time of change and to hail the turning of the season.
Changing of seasons in life often brings worry and stress. And it seems like we’re always in a season of change, voyaging into the unknown. At times it can be very overwhelming, and we start wondering how we will make it through to the other side. But God, time and again, repeats this refrain throughout scripture: “Do not worry! Do not be afraid! I am faithful and I am here with you.” God is a good father and master. He’s a good King who provides everything that is needed for His children. Rest in the provision of His peace and grace. It gives Him great happiness to give you the Kingdom!
-- In faith, Pastor Eric
“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.” Luke 12:27-32 NLT
